The patented Grass Hopper style jack was designed to safely and quickly lift heavy vehicles or structures. They have a wide operating range so that you can start low and lift high in a single stroke. Because they are remotely operated by a hand pump, the operator can be well clear of the vehicle or structure being lifted. The jacks patented design allows the jack to compensate for the lateral movement of the load.
The Grass Hopper style jack was first developed for the U.S. Army and USMC as a jack for armored vehicles with independent suspension. The jack and base plate design proved to be very stable on soft unimproved surfaces. The jack is very unique in its operation but extremely powerful for its small size and light weight. It is also very easy to deploy. Just a few seconds are needed to attach the removable base plate and attach the supply hose to the jack.
